The Annual Sawasdee Thailand Festival showcases many aspects of Thailand’s traditional culture. This includes graceful dances, stunning costumes, fashion shows of traditional Thai clothing, Thai music, unique musical instruments, amazing Muay Thai (the famous Thai martial art) and of course, plenty of mouth-watering Thai food.

"Sawasdee" is a common greeting in Thailand, similar to saying "hello" in English. It is also sometimes spelled "sawatdee" or "sà-wàt-dii." The term is often accompanied by the traditional Thai gesture of pressing one's palms together in a prayer-like position and bowing slightly, known as the wai.

 

The Sawasdee Thailand Festival is scheduled yearly on the first Saturday of June. This is your chance to learn about Thailand – the land of smiles.
