Founded in 2001 by Dr. Hai Viet Hong, Hướng Việt is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and preservation of Vietnam's traditional music. The group specializes in teaching and performing the unique musical techniques and styles native to Vietnam, especially those from the southern regions, which remain untouched by Chinese influences. The classical songs performed by Hướng Việt are known for their complexity, requiring students to master challenging techniques under the guidance of master artists.

Over the years, Hướng Việt has showcased its art across the United States and internationally in countries such as Canada, France, and Australia. In addition to their performances, the group offers educational programs, including lectures, workshops, and cultural exhibits, aimed at sharing Vietnamese heritage with audiences of all ages.

In 2018, the group had the distinguished honor of performing at the White House for the Lunar New Year celebration, a testament to their growing reputation.

Hướng Việt's upcoming performance at Benaroya Hall promises to be a vibrant celebration of Vietnam's rich musical heritage. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the beauty and tradition of Vietnamese music firsthand.
