This informative session introduces job seekers to The WorkSource Pierce System and the Workforce Training and Internship Pathways program. It’s your chance to explore local resources, services, and unique opportunities that can pave the way to a successful career.

in the trades, insight into local paid training and work experiences to kickstart your career journey.


Two Pathways Available for Pierce County Residents


A. Paid Internship – Immerse yourself in an on the job training hands-on where you will be connected with local businesses and gain invaluable experience in your field of interest. Explore a variety of tasks, tailored to developing specific skills and knowledge pertinent to your career goals. Mentorships are guided by industry professionals and their insights will support your professional development.


B. Pre-Apprenticeship Training – Embark on an in-depth journey into the construction industry. A comprehensive 14-week program where you'll gain hands-on experience in various construction trades. Learn from seasoned professionals, acquire essential certifications, and develop skills through practical training and mentorship. This immersive program not only prepares you for a career in construction but also provides preferred entry into apprenticeship partners.
