What is Khmer New Year

Each year, Cambodians joyfully celebrate the national holiday of Khmer New Year, also known as "Choul Chnam Thmey," meaning entering the new year. This marks a time of rest from the harvesting of rice and other agricultural products and is the nation's largest event, lasting three days and filled with traditional foods, drinks, and festivities. It is a time to observe Buddhist teachings, express appreciation to elders and ancestors by sending offerings to deceased relatives, and help those in need.

We are celebrating this event at APCC as a one-day cultural experience. We have many vendors and food booths, along with amazing entertainment and hands on demonstrations.

Don't miss out this event - bring your friends and family and join us for the celebration.
